Insulation Upgrades
For those wishing to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, a tailored insulation plan from design to installation is available.
Loft Insulation – current regulations are for 270mm of loft insulation. 25% of all heat lost from your home is through the roof!
Cavity wall Insulation – Most properties built after 1936 are of a cavity wall construction. However, before retrofilling cavity walls with insulation, properties will need to be surveyed and approved by a chartered surveyor before installation can commence. Installing cavity wall insulation can save you up to a 1/3rd on your heating costs.
Internal and External Wall Insulation – for older properties with a solid wall construction insulation can be applied to either the inside or the outside of your property, again providing a substantial reduction on heating costs.
Underfloor Insulation – for suspended timber and solid floors.
Solar PV – capture the rays of the sun and harvest the energy by taking the sun’s direct current (DC) and convert it with an inverter to Direct Voltage (DV)
ASHP (Air Source Heat Pumps) – a cost-effective alternative to Gas or Oil heating and is environmentally greener!
Home Wind Turbines – for those clients in a rural area. Please note that planning permission is required for wind turbines.
